About Nicolas Salinas!

I was born in Arlington, Virginia, however, I spent my whole childhood growing up in Falls Church, VA. I am currently attending George Mason University, where I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic design. Early in my childhood, lego building was one of my favorite passions; I would try to build and replicate real life structures. This is when I began to think creatively and use my imagination to make whatever he could ideate. As I got older, I joined a competitive soccer team since it was something I was really ambitious about. The competitive environment helped me focus on my self development, confidence, and motivation to work harder towards my goals. It was not until junior year of high school where my fondness and love for graphic design grew even more, after taking a design class that introduced me to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I was taught the basics of digital illustration and photoshopping and I realized that graphic design could be something I would enjoy pursuing as a degree and career. I use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for a lot of my work, which revolves around print and poster design, with inspiration that I get from music, social media, and movies. These sources of inspiration affect the color palette I use and the mood and tone of a design. I create designs that express my appreciation and enthusiasm for pop culture.
